GOLDEN GLOBES party time | Toast for a Cause

Pretty Party People: Aaahhh the Golden Globes, a veritable playground of who’s who sipping Moët & Chandon and clinking to their success and fabulosity – as well as philanthropic causes! As the official Champagne sponsor of the Hollywood awards show for more than 2 decades (22 years to be exact), the label introduced the 2004 Grand Vintage Brut Champagne to the U.S. for the occasion and continued the humanitarian initiative “Toast for a Cause” now in its fourth year.  Golden Globe nominees raised money for their favorite charities by raising a toast with Moet & Chandon Imperial minis, and moet  then donated $1,000 to the organization of choice. Ok so there was a big event and all the pretty people were there, but what we really wanted to know was the scoop in the hobnobbing and schmoozing that followed – the Harvey Weinstein Golden Globes After Party was the place to be. The low-down is below one our favorite freckled handsomes, Eddie Redmayne

eddie redmayne | golden globes | FashionDailyMagWhat went on when the lights went down: Richard Gere came and went before the fashionably late could arrive, Robert Pattinson was holed up in a cabana area outside surrounded by security; Ludovic du Plessis (U.S. vice president of Champagne maker Moët & Chandon) headed up the cool club with Leonardo Di Caprio, Jonah Hill, Jamie Foxx, Quentin Tarantino and Kerry Washington seated all together; and last but not least – Heidi Klum was doing some late night dancing in the middle of the main room on a couch!!

Moet & Chandon donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation on behalf of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Kate Hudson chose the World Wildlife Fund, and Jon Hamm supported the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Other participants in the party crowd included Hugh Jackman, Glenn Close, Debra Messing, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hayden Panettiere, Steve Buscemi, Nene Leakes.  Including this year, nearly $200,000 has been raised for over 130 charities. Other fabulous and beautifuls at the party included Amy Adams, Daren Le Gallo, Lucy LiuJack Black, and Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey.   Written by Sarah Freiseis, fdm celebs selection by Brigitte Segura.
