CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Giambattista Valli Resort 2014

There’s a luscious airy flow in Giambattista Valli‘s Resort 2014 collection. Jet-setters and [trend setters] unite, this line is oh so girly chic. The designer said he was inspired by Little Edie from Grey Gardens fame, and that influence is definitely evident in dresses over pants and head scarves of numerous colors, patterns and prints. The collection resonates this bubbly freshness that isn’t often felt in resort. Like letting a bunch of young girls loose on a fantastic European excursion. Feel that youthfulness.

Most colors and prints are femininely soft here, but it wouldn’t be a Valli line without his classic red thrown into the mix. The dazzling red evening gown is retro perfection along with the matching short suit. Show up to an interview in that ensemble and be hired on the spot. Also love a similar piece in bright chartreuse. The floral headscarf-jacket look is uniquely beauteous. The gorgeous black and white short dresses are married exquisitely with the high-fashion elevated clogs, yet formal enough for an occasion.

The floral prints used throughout could be straight out of Betty Draper’s closet. Throwback prints with modern cuts and delicacies. A special mention also has to be given to the arm candy…the travel bags and handbags are seriously the best (and fun) kind of accessories to zip off in. fdmLOVES GIAMBATTISTA VALLI resort 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
