CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Fingers Crossed Menswear Spring 2014

Here’s another great debut. Rya Hayama‘s Fingers Crossed Menswear Spring 2014 collection was shown at a sweet art space in Tribeca. Enjoying the overall vibe, the clothes were just as cool. As the music began playing, some of our favorite men’s models …Ben Allen and Ian Sharp, anyone? walked down the wooden runway in all-white sets with black and florals interspersed. Some opting for no shirts at all, this was a true spring/summer set.

This collection’s sporty-but-comfortable aesthetic was shown in loose fitting shirts and summertime chinos. Trending florals for menswear were spotted here too, as they looked stellar among black jackets and trousers.  A sunflower-esque print in particular is a personal favorite of ours. Drawstring shorts and cargo vests can attract any age group. Versatile and too chic. There was also a plethora of accessories to chose from, including floppy hats, backless sandals, backpacks and a modern take on the 90s fannypack. All given a 21st century lift.

Guys, to put it simple, it’s just time to embrace the florals. This line is proof that they’re just as masculine as stripes. Whites and darks, have your pick with this set. We approve. fdmLOVES FINGERS CROSSED menswear spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
