With the holidays just around the corner, here’s a fashionable take on holiday angels. Lyst has collaborated with illustrator Sunny Gu on a series of 5 festive fashion illustrations, imagining Christmas angels inspired by five designers: Givenchy, Moschino, Proenza Schouler, Tibi and Matthew Williamson.

Each of the angels is dressed in a fully shoppable outfit on the Lyst online site, with all design elements inspired by real collection pieces.

“I wanted the angels to bring to life the iconic outfit elements that represent each of these 5 amazing designers’ style. Each of the angels has a very unique personality, from the Givenchy gothic punk angel to the more contemporary Tibi angel in jeans and shearling. The wings were the most challenging part of these illustrations, as I wanted to incorporate the exact colors and patterns from collection pieces. I love the end result; the wings’ silhouettes serve to unify the whole series.” -Sunny Gu

This is the third in a series of Lyst collaborations with young illustrators and graphic artists, putting a fresh take on the world of fashion with re-imaginations and creative ideas. Lyst has previously worked with illustrator Olka Osadzińska to bring to life a collection of dream sneaker collaborations, and Leland Foster to re-imagine the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air for 2015.
