Ernest Alexander Spring 2014
Early on in New York Fashion Week the handsomely cool style flourished at the hands of Ernest Alexander. Tailored with a little cool- these are just a couple of the words that capture his Spring 2014 collection. With models Ben Allen and Matthew Bell on the scene looking the stunning part in liberty patterned blazers and oxfords, this collection does not disappoint. Our editor Brigitte caught up backstage with the sweet preppy [and so handsome] guys.. an instant mood enhancer to start the week of shows ahead.
Adding some cool factor with coiffed hair and wayfarer sunglasses lending to a collection of effortlessly sharp. Tailored suit jackets, both double and single breasted, and trench coats evoke a sense of being cool and collected. Button-up shirts are fastened up to the top and tucked in to shorts or tailored pants. Liberty florals and stark white dominate the shirts, while anchors patterned the shorts and ties.
The models hold one of three bags: a leather pouch, a olive green or tan suede satchel with leather handles, or an even larger tote with leather handles printed with camo or navy. Ernest Alexander’s leather loafers and oxfords are making us fall in love all over again. Clean-cut tailoring and deep hues recall an old type of elegance and class. fdmLOVESERNEST ALEXANDER SPRING 2014
