Boy meets beauty for Elie Saab Fall Winter 2013. Masculinity with a feminine touch made for a fresh shift from most androgynous approaches. With a translucent top paired with a high-waisted trouser, Elie Saab allowed the femme fatale to enter the boardroom. Graphic footwear, with sleek straps stretching above the ankle, grabbed our attention in this collection.

While the variety of bags, from slim clutches to petrol blue carry-alls, gave the everyday woman ease in her wardrobe. Top-to-bottom hues created a connection between the pieces, such as a navy wool coat with a silk cross-draped top, showing how the brand effortlessly incorporated various fabrics between the looks. The silhouette dominated-by keeping it close to the body without all of the restriction. The sleek Smoking shape shifted throughout by having moments of volume pop through a full fur, a moving hem, or a peplum waistline. The brand played with illusion, by having strategically-placed cut-outs form a revealing and ravishing option for evening. Deep navy’s, plums, and blacks played nicely when paired together, while letting the variety of textures steal the spotlight.
