CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Dries Van Noten Fall 2014 PFW

Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2014 collection is just like looking through a kaleidoscope. Shown during PFW, this psychedelic set is taking cues from Op Art swirls and stripes. With 1960s undertones, it’s hypnotizing and retro chic. Colors are varied, prints are mixed and there’s an underlying feeling of cool throughout. This is how you do memorable.

There’s a slew of wild prints but the colors really make these graphics pop. Blue shines brightest with gold and orange accenting while pink’s vibrancy buzzes on top of gray. Most of these looks are ankle-length as skirts particularly feel classic 1930s. Some styles tone down the ‘pow’ and add a bit of subtle charm. An orange blouse looks rocking with the paired silver metallic skirt. That same martial transcends gorgeously in dress form, especially with the 3-D orange orchid accent. Teal also looks fabulous and black’s rocker chic in a matching suit with amazing orange leather gloves. Hot.

With this week only just starting, this designer has already set the bar pretty high. It’ll be hard to top these prints the rest of the season. They touch our psychedelia hearts. fdmLOVES DRIES VAN NOTEN Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
