CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

DIOR ss16 PFW

A grande flowered facade revealed a delightful display of fresh femininity at DIOR SS16 during PFW. Creative director Raf Simons painted a sweet scene on the horizon at the Cour Carrée du Louvre. It was pure lux, a suitable dream for a lady with a Victorian vibe with a romantic twist for spring-summer.

Light and lovely lingerie was layered for chic in proper style for blending former and future. Transparent elements for Miss priss with prim meets prowess in bias cut dresses over scalloped edge shorts. Finess in tailoring paired structured jackets with fine and flimsy. The collection turned from the softer side and headed into unisex territory with utilitarian cut pieces and patterned sweaters. Accessories like scarves and chokers enhanced by the founding number (8) the design house is so fond of completed the special ornamentation.

A peek at our favorite details including sheers, new neck interests, a few scallops and alot of delicate feminine.

The opening look was worn by headline making Sofia Mechetner, the 14 year old model discovered by Simons himself in a Dior store earlier this year. She donned the cotton veiled top and shorts made of cotton in white. Some of our favorite looks included elements like transparent printed striping, superb seaming, and 3D style built out sleeves. The jackets also rocket – particularly as sportier featherweights or sophisticated in longer and embellished off-white wool.

Favorite faces including Mica Arganaraz and Julia Nobis amongst the angelic faces flaunting the demure feminine looks in Raf Simons’ vision. High profile at Dior with notable high fashion attendees wearing the label including Elizabeth Olsen, Emilia Clarke, Leelee Sobieski, Camille Rowe, and the brand’s lovely Secret Garden Campaign spokesmodel Rihanna who wore Dior Haute Couture, Dior Fine Jewelry with Dior shoes and a Dior bag.
