Cynthia Rowley Spring 2014
The brightly colored paper lanterns adorning the roof at Cynthia Rowley’s “Hawaii-in-the-Spring” inspired presentation were a fitting celebration of the designer’s latest collection. Guests milled into the venue after hob-nobbing in the High Line Hotel’s picturesque garden with celebrities such as the fashion-forward Alan Cumming making a spirited appearance.
The downtown New Yorker took a vacation at a chic boutique hotel for Spring 2014. Complete with a wardrobe of sexy printed dresses, full skirts, swimsuits and lots of skin. The tropical vibe was flourished in a palette of sunburnt orange, seaweed green, and crimson red.
Rolling out with casual touches topped with leis – embroidered sweat bands matched with T-shirts and prints full of exploding flowers created a mash-up of sporty and girly fun. Sexy, surfer-chic pink pouts channeled the collections’ vacation vibe, and a sexy strapless swimsuit with striking motifs provided the perfect accompaniment for an adventurous spirit sipping mojitos by the pool. Lots of celebs were hanging about, and cuties Cara Lauren Banbrocklin and Amber Clark were spotted having a seat.
Rowley adopted a more feminine look with a string of ruffled dresses in party-ready tones, and a pastel pink drop-waist dress with a pussycat bow neckline. fdmLOVES CYNTHIA ROWLEY SPRING 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Khia Mercer.
