CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2015

With the simplified redo of the fashion house’s founding father, Dior has once again outdone itself in highlighting femininity and glamour in the Resort 2015 show. Now mixing class with cutting-edge style to keep up with the changing times, Dior delivers once again. How the fashion house married class and cutting-edge style is seen most in how black pieces were paired with pieces with more daring prints.

Vintage details on the pieces are also very subtle yet effortlessly capture and hold any viewer’s attention. Easily standing out from the beautiful bevy of dresses fit for ladies, however, is the only pair of trousers during the show, which isn’t any less elegant and feminine than its skirt sisters. Patterns are predominantly asymmetric, intricate, or both, but each one is undeniably chic.

The shoes are very modern and to die for, and prove range with its easy blending with any outfit. FDM is living for the eclectic dresses, complete with an avant-garde detail that makes covering collarbones forgivable, as well as the corset cinching the waist in the most colorful way possible. Every collection of the fashion house’s clear signature, the Bar Jacket, has been reinvigorated by the modern pieces it now goes with. FDM has nothing but adulation for fashion’s longest reigning king and his lasting legacy. CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2015 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Paul Cenizal.
