CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Charlotte Ronson Spring 2014

Charlotte Ronson has been been making a scene since her debut in 2000, and her Spring 2014 presentation once again revealed staying power. Tongue-in-cheek sweet and girly retro cuts contrasted with sharp cutouts as the designer gave sweet style a much needed lady of New York edge. The collection was inspired with a certain type of girl in mind: intellectual, flirty, quirky, but still mischievous.

DJ Harley Viera-Newton kicked things up a notch as the crowd full of celebrities, models, and musicians, ranging from Anna Sophia Robb, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, Cory, Kennedy, Kate Nash, and Jessica Stam which comes to no surprise considering she and her sibling are forever in with the fashionably cool crowd in the entertainment world.

Her “French girl in the big city” featured the soft silhouettes with peter pan collars and demure slits, and one of our favorite girls Charlotte Carey was rocking the look. Eyelet lace accentuated both black and white cherry print and gingham. Pastel blue plaid in long line trousers were paired with crop tops. Off-the-shoulder dresses were paired with matching ascots and bags, all in the same print. Maybe the most unexpected aspect that gave the collection a modern twist was the unique infusion of proportions. Zippers transformed white leather dresses to tops and voluminous jackets reveal cutaway jumpsuits. Fdm LOVES CHARLOTTE RONSON Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Nadia Hartvigsen.
