Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2013

Berlin’s internationally acclaimed biannual fashion week draws industry professionals to the unique city. The renowned event engages fashion and lifestyle enthusiast from across the globe as media, buyers, trade experts and more attend shows, awards ceremonies, and off-site events. Taking advantage of the circumstance, the Berlin fashion Film Festival takes place once a year to coincide with the action packed occasion.

Film directors, fashion talent and influential creatives are mixed for film with fashion presentations. Although the submission deadline has been extended (May 15th) many of the other variables are already set in place. The main media partner Interview magazine is joined by a host of others including KaltBlut, FASHIONCLASH, MUUSE, and more. The curating team is comprised four aptly appointed entities: the Berlin Film Society, FIER management, the London College of Fashion, and the fashion film agency Furore Film. Curators will select films from the open call, with a screening for finalists at the Berlin fashion Film Festival Award Ceremony on July 4, 2013. There will be several judges representing a variety of categories like filmmaking duo Alexandliane for Best Cinematography, makeup artist slash beauty expert Boris Entrup for Best Makeup + Hair, Best Music by international star DJ HELL, and Vogue Italia’s senior editor Sara Maino for Best Fashion.
