Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2013
A journey of fashion through cinema at the 2013 Berlin Fashion Film Festival consisted of a milieu of talent types. Notable industry names like Prada and Givenchy made the features cut as well as new comers Julian Zigerli and Moga e Mago. 500 plus films competed to be a contender in the final Award Show at Arena’s Badeschiff which was timed to coincide with SS14 Berlin Fashion Week.
The event was comprised of three public screenings, one Award Show, an after party showcasing a live fashion affair. Charlie Le Mindu was highlighted as the selected creative for the real time occasion. The Award for Best Fashion Film went to Monica Menez with Odditory and Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola scored with Prada Candy as Best Big brand Film. Of course also on our radar of accolades goes to the Hair & Make-up category with winner Gustavo Lopez’s touch in Gold. From the city known for its embrace of art and culture it’s the fantastical elements of the scene that allow for such imaginations to thrive. written by Sarah A. Freiseis.
