CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

BACKSTAGE beauty: Hair Trends Milan Fashion Week

As Milan Fashion Week took center stage, one man ruled hair. Redken’s creative consultant, Guido, sculpted, primped, and beautified hair seen on the Spring 2014 runway. Houses like Alberta Ferretti, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, and Prada used this hair aficionado’s talent and expertise to create beautiful hair looks that accented the new clothing styles.

For Alberta Ferretti, the stylist chose a more ‘undone’ style for the season. Using guts 10 spray foam, iron shape11 thermal spray and wax blast 10 spray-wax, he braided hair, creating a soft and very romantic look. The hair gorgeously complemented the delicate styles from the collection. As for Versace, Rocker-chic vibes amplified the set, where Guido used diamond oil shampoo and conditioner, thickening lotion 06 body builder, and powder refresh 01 dry shampoo to create the late 80s rock and roll hair on the models. Feels unmistakably LA, doesn’t it? For the slicked-back shine look that the Roberto Cavalli models donned, the stylist used diamond oil shine, shin flash 02 glistening mist, control addict 28 and high control hairspray. Old Hollywood glamour fabulous. Fresh sophistication was on everyone’s minds for Bottega Veneta’s. Letting the models’ hair dry naturally, he then used all soft shampoo, conditioner and oil, powder refresh 01 dry shampoo and extreme ani-snap for the delicately effortless feel.

Jil Sander’s perfect minimalism shined through on top, too, as Gudio himself drew inspiration from the designer. Creating a soft low ponytail, the stylist kept the product at a minimum and used satin wear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion and all soft argan-6 oil for the gorgeous results. Prada’s girls are unintentionally stylish and cool, and their hairdos matched their no-fuss attitude. For the low-cut across the forehead detail, he used color extend shampoo and conditioner and guts 10 root targeted volume spray foam. We love it. Truly fabulous creations from one of hair’s absolute best. fdmLOVES BACKSTAGE beauty: Hair Trends Milan Fashion Week selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
