AZZARO announces Maillard and Castejón as artistic directors

Paris, June 2013 – The AZZARO house has announced the arrival of Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejón, as Artistic Directors of the house.. they took office on March 25, 2013. The new duo have both worked at prestigious houses including Karl Lagerfeld [Lagerfeld Gallery], Fendi, Oscar de la Renta, and Alexander Mcqueen. We can’t wait to see what’s cooking with these two.

about Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejón:

Arnaud Maillard trained at the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. In 1990, he joined the team of Karl Lagerfeld before being appointed to head the studio Lagerfeld Gallery in 1998 – and worked closely with Karl Lagerfeld for 15 years. In 2006, Arnaud integrates Sybilla home as artistic director of ready-to-wear and Sybilla Mujer Jocomomola. In October 2007, he opened the first vintage luxury boutique Le Faubourg in Madrid and that is the end of 2009, he created the Alvarno home with Alvaro Castejón.

Alvaro Castejón launches into fashion after four years of studying engineering at Pamplona, his hometown. In 1996, he moved to New York to pursue studies in fashion design at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). After his time at Oscar de la Renta, Alvaro joined in 1999 by Alexander McQueen creative within the Givenchy and society McQueen team. In 2001, he was hired by Karl Lagerfeld in the “Lagerfeld Gallery”. In 2008, he joined the leadership of the new design studio in Paris Fendi, where he worked until 2009 before creating the Alvarno home with Arnaud Maillard.
