ALEC BALDWIN celebrates fashionably with the DRUMS

New York: the launch of the fall collection for UGG Australia was at the top of the scenic Chelsea Arts Tower last week. The 25th floor opened into a sweeping view of the west side of Manhattan, overlooking the Hudson. A bevy of chiseled young men stood on platforms above the crowd, ensuring the the UGG rugged boots and apparel were eye level for the party attendees to ogle. Women’s looks included stacked wooden clogs, bohemian inspired and paired with floppy hats and flowing skirts. The crowd sipped vodka cocktails with fresh strawberry and thyme, much needed refreshment from the stifling heat. Hunky waiters (a given at fash events these days) served up mini truffle grilled cheese and fruit shish kebobs while they mingled among the displays and snapped pics from the patio of the sprawling lower manhattan skyline.  written by Elizabeth Landers.

The evening’s entertainment included up and coming band The Drums, who played about a 20 minute set for the crowd. Somehow during their performance time, VIP and recent man about town Alec Baldwin slipped in the party mostly unnoticed, making a couple of photo stops with a few fans, mostly chatting with friends and the UGG team. fun times.
